It has been a challenging week for a number of people, including our Thoroughbred Industry and all our Equestrian friends in the Hawke’s Bay region.
It will take months to recover on a number of levels however, we as an Industry are looking to provide some immediate relief via a partnership between NZTR (New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing), Dunstan Horsefeeds and the NZTBA (New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Association).
This 3 way partnership, administered locally, will enable feed to be delivered to the region totally free of charge ,and be distributed to all those with urgent equine nutrition requirements.
Trainers and Breeders and the wider equestrian market in the region will all be the beneficiaries of this initiative.
The amount of feed provided will depend on donations made.
NZTR have already pledged $50,000 to this cause and are calling for donations from the wider Industry to support.

Please note that this is a totally benevolent, not for profit initiative to support those horses and horse owners in desperate need at this difficult time.
In addition to the 3 way partnership initiative between NZTR, Dunstan Horsefeeds and the NZTBA, Dunstan Horsefeeds are donating the first 250 bags of feed.
