15 qualifying races throughout November and December have now been run with 'Trust In You' Trained by Bruce Wallace and Grant Cooksley coming out on top of the leaderboard.
The Dunstan Stayers Championship Final, now being run on Boxing Day at Pukekohe Park, will see the 14-strong field of horses from the top of the leaderboard contest for the $100,000 prize pool - should they wish to contest for the Final.
"It has proved to be a great success over the years, and with an increase in the stake for the final this year, it is hoped that the series will become even stronger and more sought after.
"The winners of the final invariably go on to become top gallopers, and the fact that 0-2 win horses can race for an excellent stake on a premier day can only add to its appeal," David Smith.
