Special Award for Winning Trainer of Dunstan Sires Stakes Final

Dunstan Horsefeeds is proud to announce it's continued sponsorship of the prestigious Dunstan Horsefeeds Sires’ Stakes 2YO Fillies Series, now in it's 6th running of supporting the Sires Stakes Board.

As part of this year’s sponsorship, Dunstan will present the winning trainer of the Final, held on Show Day during New Zealand Cup Week at Addington Raceway, with a one-tonne Dunstan Custom Blend order.

This exclusive award will be crafted in collaboration with the winning trainer, ensuring a feed programme tailored precisely to their stable’s needs. Each Dunstan Custom Blend is formulated in consultation with Dunstan’s Equine Nutritionist – Gretel Webber, and will be designed to meet the performance demands of elite racehorses while supporting the trainer’s preferred feeding practices.

“The Sires’ Stakes Series has always been an innovation we have admired, and it remains a highlight on the Harness Racing calendar,” says David Smith, Founder of Dunstan Horsefeeds.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our 6th year of support. To mark the milestone, we wanted to provide something meaningful to the winning trainer – a one-tonne Dunstan Custom Blend as a way for us to directly contribute to the ongoing success of the stable and to continue giving back to an Industry that has long supported Dunstan.”

Dunstan Horsefeeds, proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, has been a key supporter of New Zealand Racing since its inception in 1986. With feeds made from locally grown grains and formulated specifically for New Zealand conditions, the Company continues to deliver on its commitment to providing premium nutrition to horses across the country.

The Dunstan Horsefeeds Sires’ Stakes 2YO Fillies Series features four heats at Alexandra Park, Addington Raceway, and Ashburton, culminating in the highly anticipated Final at Addington on Show Day. With an estimated Final stake of $200,000, the series remains one of the premier showcases of emerging Standardbred talent.

The first race of the series kicks off at Alexandra Park on Friday 29 August.
