Dunstan Horsefeeds Welcomes Carter Dalgety as a Sponsored Dunstan Driver

Dunstan Horsefeeds is proud to announce the signing of talented young Canterbury reinsman Carter Dalgety as a Sponsored Dunstan Driver, further strengthening the Company's long-standing association with the New Zealand Standardbred Industry.

Carter, 23, is the son of leading Canterbury trainers Cran and Chrissie Dalgety of Kentuckiana Lodge, and has already established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in New Zealand harness racing.

"We are incredibly fortunate to be working with a talent like Carter and with the team at Kentuckiana Lodge," said David Smith, Founder of Dunstan Horsefeeds. "This partnership only furthers our association with the Standardbred Industry, which is such a big part of our core business, and an industry that has supported Dunstan so well over the years. Carter represents the future of harness racing in this country, and we are proud to have him on board as a Dunstan Driver to join our other supreme reinsman and longstanding driver, Peter Ferguson."

Dunstan's ability to craft individually tailored diets for its Trainers has been a popular offering throughout the Industry. Dunstan's "Custom Blends" is a feed programme tailored precisely to the stable's needs. Each Dunstan "Custom Blend" is formulated in consultation with Dunstan's Equine Nutritionist, Gretel Webber, and is designed to meet the performance demands of elite racehorses while supporting the Trainer's preferred feeding practices.

Dunstan Horsefeeds has supported the New Zealand Standardbred Industry for decades, and the signing of Carter Dalgety comes as the Company celebrates its 40th year of providing premium, locally made equine nutrition to Trainers, Breeders and Owners across the country.

Carter joins Dunstan's growing team of sponsored athletes and industry support, and will feature across Dunstan's channels throughout the 2026/27 season and beyond.
