Dunstan Keg Fibre Grow

A formulation of quality protein ingredients and fibre sources such as Lucerne Meal and Meadow Hay to provide for the nutrient requirements of growing horses, presented as a 10mm palatable pellet.

  • Premium Quality - The inclusion of digestible fibre within the pellet assists in providing some of the horses fibre requirements to help develop a healthy digestive system with greater freedom from colic, gastric ulcers and other digestive disorders. The high fibre and low glycaemic index nature of this formulation may assist in the suggested negative interaction between insulin production and cartilage and joint development.

  • Research and Results - Dunstan Keg Fibre Grow contains a comprehensive range of supplements used by Dunstan for a number of years in its breeding and racing formulas, proven for their ability to enhance digestion and nutrient availability, and contribution to overall development of natural immunity. Organic Selenium Yeast, Organic Glycinate Trace Minerals, Live Yeast and a Mycotoxin binder to help reduce the effect of Rye Grass Staggers, and as general insurance against pasture mycotoxins.

Feeding Recommendations

Good quality pasture, or hay should be fed in conjunction with Fibre Grow to provide adequate roughage intake. Regular exercise is an important management aspect to ensure correct bone and joint development.

  • Weanling April - October 3 - 4 Kg / Day
  • Yearling November - February 4 - 6 Kg / Day

Regular monitoring of weight gain allows for accurate assessment of growth patterns to avoid excessive growth rate which may negatively influence joint soundness. If excessive growth rate is a concern, Dunstan Keg Fibre Balancer may be an appropriate alternative product to feed.
